Where do you find ideas for stories? In our lives, our imaginations, our observations, and in old myths and legends and fairy tales. For November’s workshop we will mine the well of traditional stories and find inspiration here to create a new story. Perhaps you wondered what became of Snow-white, some years after her marriage. Or what happened to Persephone in those dark days under the earth. Or to re-tell Red Riding Hood from the hungry wolf’s point of view. There is such wealth in oral traditional storytelling. Ahead of this workshop it would be helpful to read a few folk and fairy tales, or myths and legends. And if there is one that intrigues you, bring it along. And together we will create new stories from old.
