This new 8 week course, beginning 20th October until 10th March, is perfect for people who want to write for children

The course will guide people through the process of creating a strong story for children, starting with creating characters then giving them an exciting and challenging story world. If you have a story idea, or perhaps you have already begun a story for children, you are most welcome to join. Even if you don’t yet have an idea, you are welcome. Part of our practise will be to write and spark story ideas. Each session we will focus on a different aspect of the craft; dialogue, place, plot, character etc. the classes consist of writing exercises, reading excerpts of children’s fiction and discussion.

All welcome, with little, much or no experience, but with a willingness to create stories young people will love to read.
